Dragonsoul Book 1 – “Final Draft”

This is book 1 of Dragonsoul, and it currently in the final drafting phase. I say final because I’ve gone through several drafts and have landed on this one as the final candidate. This is the one where I will get alpha readers to look at it, then make the changes I think are necessary before seeking editing and ultimately, beta readers before making all the tweaks necessary!

The Court of Scales is coming, a tradition in which the Five “High Realms” gather every five years to socialize, negotiate, and renew their long-standing alliance. Yet in a world in which the bond of man and dragon seems unbreakable, a malignant force plots to disrupt and dismantle a millennia of forged bonds. A prince of nations, a scarred dragonkin warrior, and the ward of an ancient king all converge on this court while this insidious sickness closes in.

The Blooded – “Concept Phase”

This is a short story series that I am working on that will be an in between tale set in the world of Draigtir. The first short story will be written and posted for free before Dragonsoul Book 1 is out. The goal for this series of stories is to tell the tale of Tarva, a woman born with dragon blood finding no place to call her own as she lives the life of a mercenary.

Where Dragonsoul is a grand epic, Tarva’s story is for those who might enjoy the ferocity of the likes of Conan the Barbarian or Red Sonja.

They called her dragonspawn. A strange thing, for in the realms of man and dragon, to be labeled as spawn is to be seen as less than. Tarva has shouldered that burden her entire life, all while swinging a weapon known as the Fear-Breaker. Yet soon she will learn her deeds have caught the attention of those who may not want someone of her ilk making a name for herself. Can she survive what comes next?
